The tech space never ceases to amaze me. The fact that a 79-year-old company like HP HPQ -1.26% Inc. can reinvent itself and successfully navigate through the complexity and challenges of the smart home is impressive, to say the least. It has done this not by launching whiz-bang gadgets, but by smartly applying its innovation chops and know-how in the consumer printing space. To put it bluntly, this isn’t your father’s HP anymore.

Why a Channel Sales Manager Can Make or Break a Channel
One of the most important roles in an organization selling through the channel is the role of a channel sales manager. Why? It’s simple: This is where rubber meets the road. It doesn’t matter which programs, processes or automation platform are in place. Partners don’t just do business with a company; they also do business with the people who represent the company.

The HP Tango smart printer clearly wants you to confuse it for a book
Remember when printers used to look like, well, printers? HP’s latest addition to the world of paper and ink is the Tango — a device designed to look nothing like a conventional printer. At first glance, the HP Tango appears to be perhaps a small fabric layer box, or a very thick book, but within is a small wireless printer boasting some tricks. Starting from $150 for the base unit, and $50 extra for the Tango X model with fabric, the mini-stealth printer might play as more of a center piece than something to hide away.

Samsung acquisition opened up a $55 billion market: HP Inc CEO
HP Inc.'s $1.05 billion acquisition of Samsung Electronics' printing business will give HP Inc. access to a $55 billion market, HP Inc. President and CEO Dion Weisler told CNBC on Thursday.
Telling "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer that the printing business is thriving both at home and in the office, Weisler said that his company is currently only "playing in" $55 billion of the $110 billion market.
"We did the Samsung acquisition because it opens up the other $55 billion copier market to us," Weisler told Cramer. "We have very low market share in that market segment, but we're growing there and so it gives us a growth platform for many years to come."
HP to launch ‘print anywhere’ solution ‘Roam’ next year
Tech major to target individual and small enterprises
Printing on the go from whatever device one carries or wherever they are is likely to become a reality with HP Inc planning to launch its ‘HP Roam’ offerings in India sometime next year.
HP Roam, a cloud-based, cross-platform, locale- and device-agnostic solution, has the potential to replace dedicated PC print drivers that need to be installed and maintained on users’ PCs and network print servers. Users select the HP Roam option rather than a specific printer; and the job gets uploaded on the cloud, sources say. The US-based tech major has already introduced HP Roam in select geographies.
